101 Blog Post Ideas To Keep You Blogging

So, despite having a full-time job, a baby, a menagerie sometimes to struggle to think of things to write about. Sometimes I suffer from a little writer’s block or a little writer’s apathy at least. We all do, so I put together a list of blog post ideas to keep you going when you hit that block.

There’s a little bit of everything – ideas that can you use over and over again to prompts about yourself and blogging.

The Prompts That Keep On Giving

  1. Go to – http://www.dictionary.com/wordoftheday/ and use the word of the day to inspire a blog post.
  2. Go to – http://takemeback.to/ – and look up your birthday or a family members birthday.
  3. Go to – https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page and write something based on the picture of the day.
  4. Go to – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page and write something about the featured article or the featured picture.
  5. Grab the last book you read, turn to page 101 – write a blog post using that first line.
  6. Put your music player on shuffle – write to the next song.
  7. Check out google’s or twitter’s trending topics.
  8. Wordless posts. Your pictures or pictures you like (remember to link to the owner).
  9. Join Postcrossing – send some snail mail – post the mail you get in return.
  10. How to posts about something you’ve just learnt or something you’re an expert in.
  11. Leave your blogging comfort zone and blog about a completely new topic. Parenting blogger? Try a fashion blog. Fashion blogger? Try Gaming.
