Continuing on after my Halloween and Thanksgiving board books, I decided to look for some Christmas board books naturally. Snappy loves books, even if he won’t let us read to him unless he’s already half asleep. Anyway, after browsing for a while I found a few I like and one I’m definitely going to get him.
Christmas Surprises
This board book is a lift the flap book that is a bit like unwrapping presents. There is a little rhyme to give your child a clue to what might be inside. This is cute and bright and definitely something that will catch the attention of little ones.
Christmas Elf Countdown
Another lift the flap book – bright and colourful and featuring 35 flaps. Discover what the Elves are up to in the run-up to Christmas and find them all I really like this one and it will keep toddlers busy.
Christmas Carols
A little board book by Usborne with all your favourite and popular Christmas carols in it. I really like this one but we love singing in our house. It’s small but colourful, the illustrations are gorgeous. I can’t decide whether or not to get this one for Snappy.
The Christmas Baby
This book tells the story of the nativity. It tells the story well and brings the reader into it too at the end. The illustrations are pretty but a little busy in places but it’s a good book for teaching your child about the nativity.
The Nativity Story
Another book telling the nativity story, I much prefer the illustrations in this one. While not as realistic they are bright and cleaner and much more fitting for a book for toddlers. I think this is what I want to get Snappy.
Peter Rabbit: A Christmas Wish.
We have a bit of a soft spot for Peter Rabbit and all things Beatrix Potter in this house. We have some of her books in Welsh as well. This is a cute story about Peter not being able to sleep and worrying Santa won’t come. The illustrations are perfect and it’s just a gorgeous little book.
The Christmas Bear
A cute lift the flap book about a bear left behind by Santa. It’s bright and colourful which is a must for board books. A cute story and flaps to lift.

I love Usborne books the quality on them is always very good. I like the look of the 2nd nativity one too. My 21 month old is only just really starting to chose books from his toy pile so I am excited for him. 🙂 #KCACOLS
Ooh these look fab. We don’t have any of them. I might have to get The Christmas Bear as Jacob loves a book with flaps! Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next time!
Great book choices, the Peter Rabbit one looks cute! #KCACOLS
All of these choices are fun and good! Our littles may be a bit too big, but we loved these nonetheless! Happy holidays! #kcacols <3
